The original purpose of Feng Shui, centuries ago was to create a sense of safety. Also in mind was an open view of what is in front of us physically and mentally and what would be considered beyond our physical existence.
In our political climate of today, nothing could be more needed.
It’s important to look at our living spaces with fresh eyes, to see what are the little things that interrupt the flow of energy as we move around the space.
In my home, I have a nine-inch step up from the hallway to the kitchen.
Whether it is because I’m getting old or because most steps are usually about four inches high, each time I stepped up or down I hesitated. Noticing this I decided to make an intermediate step out of paving stones which blended in with my wood floor.
This was an action was like a little gift to myself that makes the environment easy for me to move around in. Also, I enjoyed the creativity in making the step work and the subtle knowing I could take care or myself.
For some of us calling a handyman to remedy this situation would also be applying Feng Shui as a way of life.
When I first do a consultation, or when we first decide to Feng Shui it’s easy to get overwhelmed because there is so much to do. Looking at our environment in the Feng Shui way that we simply continue to see more and continue to adjust so that we are even more comfortable and able to move easily and freely.
