Summer Feng Shui

Summer is the time to be out of doors as much as one can.  Whether it’s having a meal in the open air, spending time in your yard enjoying the warm weather.

Gardening Feng Shui is so important.  It’s time to walk around the yard and pull out any dead plants or trim dead leaves.  Some plants have finished flowering others need replacing.  Also checking for bugs and weeds, may be irrigation leaks.

Any of these situations have an affect on the Feng Shui or flow of energy around your house.

Living in a climate where the weather doesn’t make you feel like being outside, it’s great to bring some flowers inside whether a potted flowering plant cut flowers.  Take a moment to choose the colors that really attract you right now.  The colors you are attracted to can change with the seasons.

If it’s too hot outside choose cool colors like blues.  If it’s overcast choose pinks, reds, or yellows.

When I lived in Sedona I didn’t want red around me in the summer.  Red is too hot a color in a hot climate.   In the middle of winter, was when I would choose red.
